I am looking for someone I can partner with on distributing From 500 and future projects I am developing. I have a long career ahead of me and I want to take that journey with someone I trust. I have spent the past year in pre-production for an unscripted travel show that will be ready to shoot in March 2020.
The more people we can get this to, the more we can break down the stigma of mental health. We can save lives by telling this story right. In the past year I have lost two friends to suicide. I want to show people there are other ways out of the darkness.
Though I plan to complete the edit myself, I am in need of feedback from industry professionals to polish the project. I am in need of someone who has the resources to help with music supervision to ensure I am able to deliver on the score/soundtrack I have created.

I have reviewed over 10,000 hours of footage to pull the best content to tell this story. The first five episodes were edited archivally, as most of what I filmed was very raw emotionally. I had to place distance between myself and the content to stay as objective as possible during editing. This made for an incredibly difficult process to edit as I was reliving these moments from the past ten years at once. The last five episodes were filmed in 2019 as I began this journey of going fulltime filmmaking while traveling and teaching myself much along the way.
From 2016+ I filmed in mostly 4K to give myself options in post. I shoot wide, then crop in as needed. Production is 98% finished, with my final scene being shot Christmas 2019. I have self-funded this entire project but will run out of resources in early 2020. By learning how to do everything myself, I have kept my costs low compared to other productions, but I have used all my savings, 401K and debts available to accomplish this. It truly is ALL or NOTHING as I sit near the edge of bankruptcy. It's all worth it if it helps one person. We've lost too many.

I sampled many ambient indie songs and used stems from other songs in order to create much of the music throughout the series. I selected "Indie Folk" music for much of the soundtrack with the expectation these songs would be easier to clear. I used a few popular songs throughout, with the understanding these may need to be replaced or covered.

Music is as much a part of From 500 as any footage I have. I spend hours on end scouring the internet for music that elicits an emotional reaction while also fitting within the overall musical theme of the series.

I need a partner with strong music clearance capabilities and connections. I feel that most of the music can be cleared easily, especially if the artists connect to the overall mission of this project.

Reactions to the music has been overwhelmingly positive, with people searching for and listening to these songs/bands after they watch an episode. It was my goal to create a soundtrack that people would love and give exposure to the music that helped me through this process of rebuilding my life.

I will start hearing back in January on festival decisions. I plan to have a deal in place before festival exhibition, however I am willing to delay in order to keep exhibition status qualifications intact. Ideally, we can use the festival as a way to promote the series and its eventual release.
